Congratulations to Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI. I'm not at all disappointed with this result but will admit to being surprised. I didn't think he would win it. My first thought is that he may be the man to do some housecleaning of the sort that it is said JPII refrained from doing.

Kudos to CanWest for calling a terrorist a terrorist . Many, including The Last Amazon , will be happy to hear it. Reuters is among the worst of the major western news services, where I would also place the BBC and the CBC.
